Trademark Registration - US
The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) in the US has confirmed that evidence based on entries from online encyclopaedia is admissible in limited circumstances affirming the refusal to register the marks of telecommunication services relating to Internet. According to TTAB, such evidence must be subject to corroboration from other reliable sources and can be allowed only where the non-offering party has an opportunity to submit rebuttal evidence.
